Photography is a way of seeing the world around us. It is a way to capture the ordinary in extraordinary ways, to excite the one who views the image in ways that could never be imagined otherwise. Through the lens of the camera, the photographer sees the world in shapes and colors, the rich tones of highlights and shadows, the ways things are put together to make something wholly different. It is through this vision that the photographer communicates a particular way of seeing that often amazes and sometimes even delights.
My goal as a photographer is to capture the world around me in order to preserve that which is. But I am also interested in capturing human emotions. Together, these two goals allow me to explore the total range of the human experience and bring images of character to my viewers senses.
My work is displayed at art shows, galleries, and on the internet. I have a portrait studio which opens up the world of the human condition, its hopes, joys, celebrations, and sometimes even its disappointments and pain. Working with families to capture special moments, to document the present, is a special passion of mine.
While I know how cheezy it sounds, I am going to say it anyway. I love, absolutely love, my work. I am lucky enough to be able to live my passion, my dreams.
